Flipsy.com shows you how to determine what iPad model you have.
Want to sell your used iPad? You'll need to find its model number first. It's the best way to make sure buyback and trade-in offers are accurate. Here's how to identify your iPad model number.
Method 1: Back cover
Apple prints the model number of every iPad on the back cover of the device, toward the bottom. Find that number, then reference Apple's iPad identification page to identify the matching name and generation.
For example, the model number A1584 corresponds to the iPad Pro. However, there is a more specific model number that can offer more information, as seen in Method 2.

Method 2: Via the settings menu
Browse to SETTINGS > GENERAL > ABOUT and scroll down to find the model number. This number will be different from the model number found on the back cover. That's because it not only represents the model, but also the specific color and storage capacity of your iPad.
Once you have your model number, you can search for it online to find the corresponding name, color, and storage capacity of your iPad.
