How To Repair or Replace a Cracked LG G2 Screen
If your LG G2 screen is cracked, you can save money by replacing it yourself. The following details how to repair or replace your cracked LG G2 screen.
What you need:
● pry tool
● small Phillips screwdriver
● replacement LG G2 LCD/digitizer assembly with front housing
STEP 1: Turn your LG G2 off, then remove the SIM card.
STEP 2: Use the pry tool to remove the back cover from the phone housing.
STEP 3: Unscrew the seven screws securing the rear housing to the phone frame; remove the rear housing.
STEP 4: Unscrew the five screws securing the antenna module to the phone frame; remove the antenna module.
STEP 5: Remove the flex cable ribbon and headphone jack by using the pry tool to disconnect the cable ribbon's seven connectors.
STEP 6: Use the pry tool to gently remove the power/volume button plate.
STEP 7: Use the pry tool to disconnect the following four connectors: battery, rear facing camera, front facing camera, and proximity sensor.
STEP 8: Remove the logic board.
STEP 9: Use the pry tool to gently remove both cameras, the proximity sensor, ear speaker, motor, and battery.
STEP 10: Discard the old front housing with the cracked screen, and starting with the new front housing reassemble your LG G2 by following these steps in reverse order.
