Forgot your password? iPhone disabled because you (or your kids) entered the wrong passcode too many times? Find Trade In &#038; Cash Value \u203a<\/a><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<h2>Method 1: Unlock your disabled iPhone with iCloud\/Find My iPhone<\/h2>\n<p>If Find My iPhone is enabled, you can factory reset your iPhone from another device. Note that this method will erase your data, which might give you pause if you don\u2019t have a backup.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Turn on your iPad<\/li>\n<li>Log into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icloud.com\/find\">iCloud<\/a> (forgot your Apple ID? You can recover it <a href=\"https:\/\/iforgot.apple.com\/password\/verify\/appleid\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Find your iPhone in iCloud and select ERASE IPHONE<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Your iPhone will be reset to factory settings, which will allow you to set it up new and create a new password. You can then <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/ph12521?locale=en_US\">restore a backup<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/75MX9Y2FoJs\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><h2>Method 2: Unlock your iPhone with your computer<\/h2>\n<p>You can use your computer to reset your iPhone to factory settings. Like iCloud, this method will erase your data and you won\u2019t be able to recover it unless you have a backup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Use the cable that came with your iPhone or another compatible cable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>iPhone 12, 13, and 14:<\/strong> Lightning cable<\/li>\n<li><strong>iPhone 15, 16, and 17:<\/strong> USB-C cable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>If you have an iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, or 17:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Press and quickly release the <strong>VOLUME UP<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>Press and quickly release the <strong>VOLUME DOWN<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<li>Press and hold the <strong>SIDE BUTTON<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Continue holding the <strong>SIDE BUTTON<\/strong> even after the Apple logo appears.<\/li>\n<li>Release the button when the <strong>Recovery Mode<\/strong> screen appears.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Restore your iPhone<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once your iPhone enters Recovery Mode:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>On a Mac running macOS Catalina or later:<\/strong> Open <strong>Finder<\/strong> and select your iPhone from the sidebar.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On a Windows PC:<\/strong> Open the <strong>Apple Devices<\/strong> app and select your iPhone.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On older Windows PCs:<\/strong> Open <strong>iTunes<\/strong> and select your iPhone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When prompted, select <strong>Restore<\/strong>. Your computer will download the latest iOS software and erase your iPhone, including the passcode.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Set up your iPhone again<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After the restore process is complete, your iPhone will restart and display the setup screen. You can then:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Restore your data from an iCloud or computer backup, or<\/li>\n<li>Set up your iPhone as a new device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important:<\/strong> If Find My iPhone was enabled before the reset, you\u2019ll need to enter the Apple Account\/Apple ID and password previously associated with the device to complete setup.<\/p>\n<p>Your iPhone will reset to factory settings. When it\u2019s done, you can set it up like new, create a new password and <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/ph12521?locale=en_US\">restore a backup<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Method 3: Bypass your iPhone passcode<\/h2>\n<p>Search Google and YouTube, and you\u2019ll find various exploitations people have used to trick iPhones into allowing access without a passcode. None of these methods are guaranteed to work, but if you don\u2019t have a backup they might be worth a try before you wipe your data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Siri commands<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Certain Siri commands have been said to bypass iPhone passcodes. They include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ask Siri to open an app you don\u2019t have, tap the App Store icon, then tap the Home button twice and swipe the screen<\/li>\n<li>Ask Siri to open your World Clock, then tap it to view alarm ringtones. Tap \u201cbuy more tunes,\u201d then the Home button<\/li>\n<li>Ask Siri to display your Cellular Data, then turn Cellular Data off and change your passcode<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Of course, Apple takes security seriously so by the time you read this, it\u2019s unlikely any of these hacks will work (if they ever did to begin with). Search online for the latest tricks to see if you can get into your iPhone without your passcode.<\/p>\n<p><strong>iTunes backup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Though Apple discontinued iTunes for Mac users, if you still have a copy of iTunes you can use this trick to try to access your iPhone. Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes, select your iPhone, then click \u201cback up now.\u201d If the backup begins, your iPhone should unlock. You can then cancel the backup and change your passcode.<\/p>\n<p><em>NOTE: If you still have iTunes, you can also use it to reset your iPhone to factory settings. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>iPad unlocking software<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Several companies claim to be able to unlock iPhones without the need for passcodes, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tenorshare.com\/products\/4ukey-unlocker.html\">Tenorshare 4uKey<\/a>. Both offer free trials and can be purchased for $30 to $40.
