Which Google Pixel Do You Have? How to Identify Your Google Pixel
How to tell which Google Pixel model you have.
Look in settings
If your Google Pixel powers on, this is the easiest way to identify your model, capacity and carrier. Browse to the corresponding settings screen below.
Model Name: SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONEIf your OS is prior to Android 10, it’s SETTINGS > SYSTEM > ABOUT PHONE
Model Number: SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONE > REGULATORY LABELS
Capacity: SETTINGS > ABOUT PHONE > STORAGE
Carrier: SETTINGS > NETWORK & INTERNET > MOBILE NETWORK
This video shows how to access the settings menu.
Want to know if your Google Pixel is 5G ready? Look up the model number, then reference Google’s 5G network compatibility page. This video shows you how.
What if your Google Pixel won’t power on?
Try these methods to identify your Google Pixel if it won’t turn on.
Locked out of your Google Pixel? Here’s how to unlock it |
Google Find My Device
If you previously enabled it, log in to Google Find My Device to view your Google Pixel’s model name.
If you need additional information like your model number, capacity and carrier, click the “question mark” icon and copy your phone’s IMEI. Then, paste it into an IMEI checker tool like IMEI.info. The tool will display your model name, number and capacity, plus give you the option to perform a free carrier check.
Use your carrier’s website
Log in to your carrier account and browse to your devices to find identifying information about your Google Pixel. On Verizon, for example, you can browse to “My Devices” and then “Manage Device” to view your phone’s model name, capacity, device ID and IMEI number.

Check the box or sales receipt
If you still have the original box or your sales receipt, see if they list identifying information about your Google Pixel.
You can also try searching your email inbox and retailer account pages if you don’t have a paper receipt.
Look on the SIM card tray
Eject the SIM card tray to find your Pixel’s IMEI number, then input it into an IMEI checker tool (IMEI.info is one option). As mentioned, the tool will display information like model name, number and capacity.

Visual clues
Finally, you can try to identify your Google Pixel using visual clues like color, size and camera arrangement – though this probably isn’t necessary if you’ve tried the other methods. GSM Arena is a good resource for comparing photos between different Pixel models (click on the device, then select “Pictures”).
